Big Savings Ahead: How the New "Beautiful" Act Impacts Your Wallet

At Loveland Ford, we know that our Northern Colorado neighbors are always looking for ways to make their hard-earned money go further. Whether you are commuting to Denver or heading into the mountains for a weekend getaway, the vehicle you drive is a major part of your budget. That is why we are excited to highlight the "One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act," a new piece of legislation designed to put more money back into the pockets of working Americans and seniors. New Tax Deductions for New Vehicles One of the most significant updates in this act is the "No Tax on Car Loan Interest" provision. For the first time in decades, individuals may be able to deduct the interest paid on a loan used to purchase a qualified new vehicle for personal use. To qualify, the vehicle must have its final assembly in the United States and be purchased after December 31, 2024. This is a game-changer for anyone looking to upgrade their ride. If you have been eyeing a brand-new truck or SUV, now is the perfect time to browse our new inventory to find a model—like the legendary Ford F-150, the versatile Explorer, or the rugged Bronco —that fits your lifestyle and qualifies for these potential savings. How the "Beautiful" Act Benefits Working Families Beyond the garage, the act provides relief for various types of income that were previously fully taxable. Key highlights include: No Tax on Tips: Service industry workers can now deduct qualified tips up to $25,000 annually. No Tax on Overtime: If you’ve been putting in extra hours, you can now deduct the "extra" portion of your overtime pay (up to $12,500 for individuals or $25,000 for joint filers). Support for Seniors: Those aged 65 and older may claim an additional $6,000 deduction, helping retirees keep more of their savings. For many of our customers, these deductions mean a lower tax bill and more flexibility when it comes to financing a Ford that meets their family's needs. Making the Most of Your Savings To take advantage of the car loan interest deduction, remember that the vehicle must be for personal use and you must include the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on your tax return. According to the Internal Revenue Service, this deduction is available to both itemizing and non-itemizing taxpayers, making it accessible to a wide range of drivers. Pro Tip: Look for VINs starting with 1, 4, or 5 —these typically indicate U.S. final assembly, a key requirement for the interest deduction! Are you ready to see how much you can save on a new Ford? The 2019 Ford Ranger has Arrived!

The once beloved Ford Ranger has been missed by mid-sized pick-up truck lovers since 2011, but it has finally made its return to the US market. We just received our first one, an XLT trim level, at Loveland Ford! Ford did a great job modernizing this truck for 2019, both inside and out. Under the hood is a 2.3L turbocharged 4 cylinder engine, which produces 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft torque. The 4WD version has just shy of 9 inches of ground clearance, while the rear wheel drive version has 8.4 inches. Both versions of the truck have electronically locking rear differentials. The 4x4 keeps the front diff open. The truck is built for off road enthusiasts with a terrain management system that allows the driver to select mud and rut settings, sand settings, or snow, grass and gravel settings. Based on the setting you select, the system will automatically adjust the ABS system, throttle, traction control and stability. The 2019 Ranger offers many of the Ford safety features you've come to know and love, including lane departure warning and assist, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot monitors that even have trailer coverage. Speaking for trailers, with the tow package option, the Ranger is rated to haul 1,860 lbs in the bed or tow 7,500 lbs. Stop by this weekend to check it out and take it for a spin. Act fast and you could be the first to own the all new Ford Ranger!

5 Fuel Saving Tips

We all want to save gas, and in turn save money. Of course, there are more and more highly fuel efficient vehicles these days, such as the Ford Fiesta, Focus, and Fusion. There are also the hybrid and plug-in models, like the C-Max, that will save you even more. However, these smaller, fuel efficient vehicles aren't for everyone. Those who simply need to drive a large truck or can't afford to trade in just yet can still take simple steps to save themselves gas even if they aren't driving the most fuel efficient vehicle out there. Below are just a few was to save fuel, regardless of the vehicle you drive. 1. Keep tires properly inflated. By keeping your tires at the inflation levels set by the manufacturer is a simple way to make sure you're getting the most out of your fuel. If even on tire on the car is deflated by just 2 psi, fuel consumption increases by 1%. That might not seem a like a lot, but if adds up over time. 2. Don't top off. When fueling up, the pump will stop with a click when your tank is full. Topping it off only increases the chance that you'll lose some of your fuel as too muck sloshes around in your gas tank. 3. Keep windows closed. It's nice having your windows open on a sunny day. Many of us think opening the windows will use less gas than running the A/C. However, especially at high speeds, open windows increase drag and can decrease fuel efficiency by up to 10%! 4. Avoid carrying extra weight. This might seem like a given, but if you remove the junk from your trunk or truck bed, you'll avoid decreasing fuel efficiency. Those sandbags in your truck bed from winter? Take them out and get more out of your gas tank. 5. Avoid long idles. Many people think starting your car uses more gas than idling, but this is a myth. If you'll be idling for more than 60 seconds, it's better to turn the car off and restart when you're ready to go. This not only saves gas, but also saves the environment from unnecessary emissions.

The Recycled Truck

Businesses and consumers alike are becoming more and more eco-conscious in every aspect of their day to day lives. Reducing fuel consumption and emissions is the first thing many of us think of when trying to become more environmentally friendly with our automobiles. However, for many people, a small electric or hybrid car is simply not an option. There's a reason the Ford F-150 is the best selling vehicle in America. Some absolutely need a truck for work and other simply can't make it the places they want to go, like many Colorado residents who enjoy spending time in the mountains, in a 2wd hybrid. Thankfully, there are other ways to become more sensitive to our impact on the environment and still get behind the wheel of a full sized truck. Ford recognized the environmental problems they were contributing to, so they committed themselves to reducing the weight of the F-150 by constructing the body with aluminum rather than steel. A lighter truck means significantly boosted fuel economy. An aluminum truck means more recycling. Although aluminum is more expensive than steel, it is 95% recyclable, so more recycled materials are used instead of mining for raw ore to produce more. Additionally, every bit of scrap left over from making the body panels is recycled again and returned to the plant, reducing waste a second time around. So be sure you always recycle your household aluminum. There's a chance it'll end up in your next truck!
