Loveland Ford Lincoln was a proud supporter of the Weld County Fair’s Junior Livestock Sale again this year! We love attending this event and supporting the hardworking kids from 4H and FFA (Future Farmers of America). The kids learn discipline and practical life skills by working very hard year round to raise quality livestock. In turn, local businesses and individuals come together to purchase these animals from them. For the majority of these kids, that money goes into a college fund, so they can further their education.
These great kids develop confidence, leadership skills, and learn the payoff of hard work. We’re happy to be a part of that and plan to do so for years to come! Thank you to all the other buyers who came together to be a part of this amazing program. Next time you visit our service department, check out the wall of photos from previous years. We’re so proud to highlight the kids we’ve met through this program over the years. If you’d like to see what it’s all about for yourself, join us for the same type of sale at the Larimer County Fair on August 7th!
The Explorer is Ford’s SUV standard-bearer, and for a number of years now, it’s been one of the most popular SUVs in the country. Whether you’re a long-time Explorer fan or you’re considering it for the first time, you’ll want to take a good, long look at the 2020 model. The Explorer has been completely redesigned, and we think many drivers will celebrate this one as the best iteration yet.
The best way to discover the new Ford Explorer? Make an appointment to come visit our dealership, look under the hood, and go for a test drive. In the meantime, take a few minutes and let us brief you on some of the new Explorer’s key features.
Key Features of the 2020 Ford Explorer
Space
The biggest selling point for the new Ford Explorer? It now offers more space than ever before. This has long been a vehicle that people love for its ample room, but now Ford’s engineers have added even more cargo area, and even more space for passengers to stretch out and be comfortable. Simply put, it’s an Explorer that can easily adapt to any and all of your lifestyle demands.
Safety
This is obviously a vehicle that’s made with families in mind, so it’s important to linger over the safety features. A number of safety-enhancing technologies come standard in the new Explorer. Some of the most significant safety features include a lane keeping system, post-collision braking, and a cruise control function that’s intelligent and adaptive.
Performance
One more thing to note: Most of the experts who have driven the 2020 model agree that this is the easiest-to-drive Ford Explorer yet. That’s largely due to the rear-drive chassis, which makes the whole vehicle feel balanced. That manifests in an incredibly smooth driving experience.

Design
With bold new colors like Velocity Blue and a sleek new profile, the 2020 Ford Escape can comfortably take you and your four favorite passengers to your next destination in style. If you have fewer passengers and need additional cargo space, the second row folds down to create a 60/40 storage ratio so you can bring whatever your next adventure requires.
And speaking of adventure, the available Panoramic Vista Roof®️ will bring you one step closer to the fun.
Performance
The Escape is designed to help you focus your attention where it matters: on the road. An available Head-Up Display projects information such as speed, driver-assistance features, and incoming calls directly on the windshield to help you drive undistracted with your eyes forward.

Loveland Ford Lincoln Gets a New Home
After more than 50 years at 999 E Eisenhower, we are so thrilled to announce that Loveland Ford Lincoln will be moving to a new home, just a few miles to the East, in the near future! As Northern Colorado’s #1 volume Ford store, we are eagerly awaiting the move to a larger, upgraded facility so that we can serve our community more efficiently. Construction has not yet begun, so we don’t have a move date to share just yet, but are excited to share the following upgrades that will be made:
• 15 acres, compared with 5 acres now.
• 57,000 square feet, compared with about 20,000.
• 50 service bays, compared with 20.
• Two separate showrooms, one each for Ford and Lincoln, with room for six cars inside, compared with space for one or two.
• Room on the lot for about 900 cars, including customers’ vehicles, compared with 300. Because of the cramped quarters at 999 E. Eisenhower, Weibel has been storing 250 to 300 vehicles on property he owns in north Berthoud.
• An automated carwash, to wash every car that comes in for service, compared with having to wash 40 to 50 cars by hand each day.
• Four bathrooms, compared with one.
• Locker rooms for the mechanics.
• Five times the space for parts.
• An elevator for the two-story building.
• A staff of about 100, compared with 77. “We need more mechanics; we need more parts people,” Weibel said.
• A lounge with beefed-up Wi-Fi service and computer counters where customers can work while they wait for their cars.
• A “celebration bay” where a new car, prepped and ready to go out the door, is presented to the customers, who then spend time with an employee learning all about the vehicle.

The Brand New Lincoln Nautilus
The Nautilus sounds like a brand new vehicle in the Lincoln lineup, and it is… kind of. Lincoln took the previous generation MKX midsize crossover, redesigned it, added a new base engine, and gave it a new name. While it’s a similar fit into the lineup as the MKX was, there’s a lot new and different about the Nautilus.
The MKX was the brand’s best selling model, so the new name and redesign aren’t making up for a flop, rather improving on an already fantastic vehicle. The Nautilus offers a completely redesigned front fascia, with the latest Lincoln grille design that we’ve seen on other recent models. The new hood, fenders, rear lighting treatment, and front headlamps, with available LED adaptive lighting, give it a fresh and updated appearance.
The biggest change is under the hood. The base engine is now a turbo-charged 2.0L inline 4 cylinder as opposed to the previous 3.7L V6. Horsepower does drop a bit, now at 250, but you get an eight speed automatic transmission, offering a wider spread than the MKX’s six speed. You now get a well performing turbo and a fuel economy raise of 4 MPG in the city! If you prefer the V6, you can step up from the base model for a twin turbo-charged 2.7L V6, pushing out 335 horsepower, and still paired with the eight speed transmission.
As for safety, we have many new options on the Nautilus, including the lane centering assist. While adaptive cruse control is engaged, the lane centering assist allows for brief moments of hands free driving. You can also get evasive steering assist and post collision braking. Other standard features include blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and automated emergency braking.
The 2019 Ford Ranger has Arrived!
The once beloved Ford Ranger has been missed by mid-sized pick-up truck lovers since 2011, but it has finally made its return to the US market. We just received our first one, an XLT trim level, at Loveland Ford! Ford did a great job modernizing this truck for 2019, both inside and out. Under the hood is a 2.3L turbocharged 4 cylinder engine, which produces 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft torque. The 4WD version has just shy of 9 inches of ground clearance, while the rear wheel drive version has 8.4 inches. Both versions of the truck have electronically locking rear differentials. The 4×4 keeps the front diff open.
The truck is built for off road enthusiasts with a terrain management system that allows the driver to select mud and rut settings, sand settings, or snow, grass and gravel settings. Based on the setting you select, the system will automatically adjust the ABS system, throttle, traction control and stability.
The 2019 Ranger offers many of the Ford safety features you’ve come to know and love, including lane departure warning and assist, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot monitors that even have trailer coverage. Speaking for trailers, with the tow package option, the Ranger is rated to haul 1,860 lbs in the bed or tow 7,500 lbs.
Stop by this weekend to check it out and take it for a spin. Act fast and you could be the first to own the all new Ford Ranger!

Vehicle Raffle for Alternatives to Violence
Pastels on 5th 2018
Loveland Ford was a proud returning sponsor of Pastels on 5th yet again this year! If you’re not familiar, Pastels on 5th is an annual fundraiser for Alternatives to Violence. This fantastic organization offers many resources to victims of domestic abuse, including an 8 bedroom safe house that will give refuge to approximately 8,030 individuals seeking safe shelter each year.
We always sponsor this event and have some Ford related artwork on the sidewalk alongside all the other amazing local artists. This year, however, we decided to do something a little different and create our own canvas. With some help from our dealership employees, we were able to take a 2002 Ford Explorer and turned it into a giant chalkboard on wheels!
Many of the kids in the community worked with us on our mobile chalk art at Pastels, and it was a huge hit. You can see the chalked up car at our dealership… at least until the rain washes it away!
We’ve decided to take our support of Alternatives to Violence one step further this year and raffle the chalkboard car off to raise even more money for this great cause. Tickets will only be $10 and 100% of ticket sales will go direct to Alternatives to Violence. The raffle drawing will happen on October 13th at Loveland Ford to help raise awareness for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We’ll have tickets available for sale that day, but ATV will start selling tickets soon throughout Loveland, so you’ll have many different opportunities to get your ticket and show your support!
Stay tuned, we’ll have more information about exact ticket sale times and locations coming very soon!
Larimer County Fair and 4H F-150 Raffle
Loveland Ford was happy to provide a Ford F-150 to the Colorado 4H Program for display at the Larimer County Fair! This display truck was used to help promote 4H’s annual truck raffle.
Now in its 11th year, the Raffle Truck Program is the Colorado 4H Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, helping support 4H clubs, travel opportunities, scholarships and more. Ford’s truck donations to the Foundation for more than a decade have added up to more than $500,000 in support for 4H in Colorado!
Tickets are still on sale and can be purchased through early September. At only $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20, it’s an affordable way to support the 4H kids in our community while trying your luck to get behind the wheel of a brand new 2018 F-150!
